I remember as a kid when I was poor as fuck, I mostly relied on school to feed me as well as friend's houses and whatever my parents were able to scrounge up when they weren't high on drugs or drunk. Plus I would visit family often to eat.

As an adult and broke at the moment (and only a microwave to cook at the moment), it's ironic that I've been eating more like a sailor than I ever did in the Navy.

Thick chowders, soups, and potatoes. I've also come to appreciate hard breads over soft breads. It's better for soups, stews, and chowders.

Snake seems to think everything that I eat is an abomination (Not true by the way, that's fake news. Only about half of what I eat at any given time is an abomination)

Let me tell you about what I just made. I have mashed potatoes and butter, and I mixed some corned beef hash in them. But I wanted it on a piece of bread, so I mixed in a few spoonfuls of country sausage gravy in to get that perfect paste like slop texture.

It's like a breakfasty thanksgiving sloppy jo.
